Question 1

Where do prices come from?

Accepted Answer

The Rhode Island lawn care costs page says its town numbers come only from real price reports and single-job crew quotes. A middle price shows only when a town and job have enough of those prices. Otherwise the cell says not enough prices yet. The yard prices page lists common residential ranges and says lot size and access move the number. The terms say dollar ranges are typical figures, not a bid, and that photos are used to suggest work, not to promise a price.

Question 2

How does the lawn care costs page work?

Accepted Answer

The lawn care costs page tracks four jobs: lawn mowing, fall cleanup, spring cleanup, and leaf removal. A middle price is the median of real prices for that town and job. Prices are crew replies the robot collected and homeowner price reports. The page also shows an hourly range as Rafael Escobar’s own estimate, in his words, not as robot data: most crews charge between $60 and $150 per hour of work, October 2026. Public guides are cited with a link and are not shown as My Green Robot quote data.

Question 3

What is Share what you paid?

Accepted Answer

On the lawn care costs page, Share what you paid asks for the job, the Rhode Island town, what you paid in dollars, the year, and an optional crew name. The jobs are mowing, a cleanup, or leaf removal. The form says it does not ask for your name or email. Amounts must be between $20 and $20,000. The year can be from 2018 through the current year. The page says the prices help neighbors see fair prices and help the robot aim for a fair number when it talks price.

Question 4

Who do I pay?

Accepted Answer

Pricing says you pay for the robot’s calls and emails. Right now, shops are not charged to be called. The first request is free. After that, a Monthly or Yearly plan pays for those calls and emails. The crew’s price for the yard work is the crew’s quote. Green Robot is not the contractor and does not perform the work. The site does not say that the crew’s payment is collected by Green Robot.

Question 5

What do the plans include?

Accepted Answer

Pricing lists Monthly at $12 a month and Yearly at $119 a year. Yearly is described as $9.92 a month, billed yearly, with 2 months free compared with paying monthly, and a $25 savings versus monthly. Each plan includes 3 requests every month, 3 pros contacted per request, calls and email, up to 9 calls a month, and calls up to 5 minutes. Yearly members get 2 free add-ons every month. You can try the first request with no credit card. Plans renew until you cancel. Payments run through Stripe. Green Robot does not see your card number.

Question 6

What are add-ons?

Accepted Answer

Add-ons are for plan members, not for the free request. Pricing lists +2 shops for $1.99 (ask 5 pros instead of 3), 10-minute calls for $1.99, and an extra request for $2.99. They are added to the next bill and capped at $20 a month. Yearly members get 2 free add-ons every month. The terms say those 2 free add-ons can be any type, unused ones do not roll over, and add-ons start right away and are charged on the next plan invoice.

Question 7

How do I cancel a plan?

Accepted Answer

Pricing says to open My yard, then Plan and billing, then Manage billing. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. The terms say plans renew automatically until you cancel there, and add-ons already used are still billed. Payments run through Stripe.

Question 8

What is the refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Published billing terms say plans stay active until the end of the period you paid for after you cancel, and add-ons already used are still billed. The same paragraph describes a 7-day case if no shop replies. That sentence is marked in the file as needing the owner’s confirmation before payments are enforced. This help article does not treat that sentence as a confirmed promise. Read the billing terms on the site for the current wording.
