Question 1

What information should I give?

Accepted Answer

The homepage says step one takes the address and the jobs you need, such as mowing or edging, and that this takes about 30 seconds. Later in the form you can add address, email, and preferences. The site sends one confirmation email with the details. Only logged-in customers with a name, address, and phone can ask, according to the crew desk. Yard chat can also take a photo. The chat suggests work. It is not a price.

Question 2

How does the robot contact crews?

Accepted Answer

Pricing says the robot calls and emails 3 local pros at the same time for one request, asks your questions, and brings the quotes back. It does not text shops or you. Calls go to the public phone on a listing you selected, after you check the consent box. If they do not pick up, the robot may email the public address on file. The robot says it is My Green Robot calling for a homeowner. Calls may be recorded. Each shop is called about your yard at most once a week.

Question 3

What counts as a request?

Accepted Answer

Pricing says one request is one job, such as spring cleanup in Pawtucket. Each time you hit Start price talk, that is one request, whether the robot calls, emails, or both. A plan includes 3 requests a month. Each request contacts 3 pros, so 3 requests can mean up to 9 calls a month, plus emails. Each call can last up to 5 minutes. Unused requests do not roll over.

Question 4

How long do quotes take?

Accepted Answer

The site does not publish a promised time for a quote to come back. Pricing says shops are independent businesses and some do not answer. The robot asks. The shop decides. Plan calls can last up to 5 minutes. The homepage says the robot calls each shop about your yard at most once a week.

Question 5

Is the yard visit free?

Accepted Answer

The homepage says shops come see the yard first and nobody locks you into a price over the phone. It also says free on-site estimates. Pricing says crews visit your yard before you accept any price, and you never have to accept a price. You choose who, if anyone. The visit is the crew’s estimate visit, not a promise that Green Robot will do the work.

Question 6

How do I compare quotes?

Accepted Answer

The homepage says written quotes show up so you can compare them side by side and pick the best one, or none at all. Dollar ranges on the site are typical Rhode Island figures, not a bid. Chat answers and negotiated numbers can be wrong. You still choose the crew. The yard prices page lists common residential ranges for weekly mowing, cleanup and mulch, tree care, and patios, and says lot size and access move the number.

Question 7

How do I choose a crew?

Accepted Answer

Pricing says you do not have to accept a price. You choose who, if anyone. The terms say a quoted price is not a contract. The office confirms the job, the price, the date, and insurance with you and the crew before work is booked. Listings may show a Google star rating and review count from public Google information. Those stars belong to Google and can change. The yard prices page suggests questions to ask the crew, including whether they are licensed and insured in Rhode Island. Green Robot does not claim that every listing is licensed.

Question 8

Do you guarantee a quote?

Accepted Answer

No. Pricing says shops are independent businesses and some do not answer. The robot asks. The shop decides. The terms also say Green Robot does not guarantee that a crew will show up or honor a number they said on a call.

Question 9

Can I change or cancel a request?

Accepted Answer

To cancel a paid plan, open My yard, then Plan and billing, then Manage billing. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. The public pages do not describe a separate button that pulls back a call or email already sent for a request. To change the jobs or the address, set them before you start the price talk. If a request is already going out, email jobs@mygreenrobot.com and include the email you used.
